Where to meet us for your Kosi Bay Fishtrap and Palm wine Tour

Our meeting point for the Kosi Bay cultural fishkraal tour is 100m after the wooden bridge on the way to Kosi Bay Mouth.

When planning on visiting Kosi Bay Mouth, please remember that you need to buy your Kosi mouth reserve entrance permit either from your lodge reception or from the Ezemvelo camp reception at 3rd lake.

To get to Kosi Bay mouth you need to follow the road from Manguzi town to the Ponta do Ouro border post. 600m before the border post, turn right at the Kosi Bay Mouth Lodge signs and follow the gravel road for 4km till you get to the Kosi Bay Mouth entrance gate.

It is here at the Kosi mouth entrance gate where you will have to hand in your reserve entrance permit.

From here drive all the way to the wooden bridge and your guide will be 100m beyond the bridge.

What to bring with for your Kosi Bay Fishtrap and Palm wine tasting tour?

For your Traditional Kosi Bay fishkraal tour with Palm wine tasting we would suggest bringing your swimsuit along as you will be in knee to waist deep water when visiting the fishtrap.

For footwear we would suggest wearing sandals or shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. It is possible to go barefoot but please listen to where our guide ask you to walk as there are some sharp razor clams that you don’t want to step on!

Don’t forget to bring your camera as the experience is incredibly photogenic. Bring some refreshments and come enjoy some pure Tonga vibes..
